Finance Officer:

  • Finance officers play a crucial role in the financial management of WSA.

  • The team is responsible for overseeing the organisation's financial activities and ensuring that financial records are accurate and up to date.

  • Responsibilities involve filing organisations' balance sheet for Companies House, preparing unaudited financial statements for executives, preparing WSA budgeting spreadsheet (dealing with sponsor payments & daily transactions in/outside the organisation) and handling reimbursement for our events.​​

Mentorship Officer:

  • The mentorship team facilitates WSA’s two mentorship programmes.

  • They are responsible for ensuring that mentors and mentees work together to have a fulfilling and meaningful experience in the programme.

  • Responsibilities involve facilitating the interaction between both parties at all stages of the mentorship programme (pre-pairing, initial introductions, monthly meetings, etc.), pairing up mentors and mentees, facilitating the programmes and resolving immediate issues that come up.

 

 

WSABounce Officers:

  • WSABounce is an exclusive series of company tours to 7 of our sponsoring firms’ London offices.

  • Joining the team means you are a part of the brains organising this wonderful initiative!

  • As a member of the WSABounce team, your contributions will shape the experiences of selected members, opening doors to diverse opportunities and facilitating meaningful connections within the industry.

  • Responsibilities involve creating a warm welcoming atmosphere for attendees, confidently showcasing the value and impact of our collaboration through meetings with firm partners, helping the team manage tasks, deadlines, and partnerships efficiently, managing excel sheets, meetings with partner firms and updating internal teams of the programme’s progress.

Societies Outreach Officers:

  • The Societies Outreach team is responsible for all the partnerships with societies, whether they are our partners from the UK or from Europe.

  • Being part of this team means having the amazing opportunity to collaborate with over 60 societies from all around and to start building your global network!

  • Responsibilities involve creating contracts to re-sign societies, reaching out to new societies and maintaining relationships with existing societies and setting meetings to discuss our various initiatives to existing and potential societies.

Firms Outreach Officers:

  • Being a member of this team will give you an unrivalled opportunity to be a part of raising funds for WSA and our various initiatives, which wouldn’t be possible without our sponsor support!

  • This role is crucial in building connections with firms and facilitating networking opportunities and partnerships.

  • Responsibilities involve creating contracts for re-signing firms, facilitating invoice creation, outreach to new firms who share the same goals as WSA, calls and meetings to discuss offerings to all sponsor firms and acting as a liaison and person of contact between WSA and firms.

Organisations Outreach & WSAlumni Officers:

  • The Organisations Outreach & WSAlumni Officer plays a vital role in expanding and nurturing the WSA Alumni’s network, fostering relationships with partner organisations and supporting the professional growth of female graduates.

  • This position requires entrepreneurial team members eager to innovate and implement new strategies.

  • Responsibilities involve reaching out to potential partner organisations with similar visions as WSA and collaborating with them, maintaining close communications with our partners and organising events and workshops for WSA graduates.

Marketing Officers:

  • The Marketing team involves creating a variety of media to facilitate every team needs, from creating sponsor opportunity posts to editing the website.

  • The team regularly manages social media accounts and keeps track of WSA’s visibility.

  • The marketing team is the one to build the awareness and attract new members to WSA.

  • Responsibilities involve creating a variety of media to facilitate every teams needs, through promotion of events, managing social media accounts, keeping track of visibility through building awareness and growing outreach, developing plans to meet objective.

 

 

OLH Officers:

  • Being a member of this team will give you an unrivalled opportunity to be a part of organising events in WSA with partner firms or societies. 

  • This team communicates with a lot of cross-functional teams like marketing, newsletter and more.

  • Responsibilities involve preparing event such as Virtual Careers Fair, Fintech panels and the Women History Month conference, communicating with sponsor firms on their interest as speakers, advising presentation briefing notes and planning out OLH roadmap for our academic year.

Newsletter Officers:

  • The Newsletter  team closely focuses with prioritising our members needs.

  • As a Newsletter officer the role involves maintaining good communication between the different WSA teams and its members.

  • In addition, you will also get exposure to corporate communications with our sponsor firms and coordinate with other teams working within WSA itself.

  • Responsibilities involve creating monthly newsletters, helping inform members of relevant business opportunities provided by sponsor firms and organisations and the composition of small articles in field of economics, business, finance, world events and wellbeing to support our members.
